Because I think there needs to be more than one mention of Father's Day, here is its very own entry! :) I just feel that there is more to say about the great dad that Stephen is! ..I mean look at that pic, how cute is that?! It definitely shows him in one of his best daddy moments!
He really is a great dad and husband! He works so hard to provide for us and meet our needs not only in material ways, but also spiritually as well. He is a great example of what an amazing person is! Not only does he provide for us and take his role as a father seriously, he brings in a lot of fun at the same time! Those are definitely two of the top things I think of when I think of Stephen, a hard worker and fun! There are so many other aspects to him as well, and so many things I admire! It would take forever to write them out, and with two little boys I don't have time to do that. ;) Thankful for Stephen's dad for giving him life and teaching him to be a hard worker.
Also want to mention my dad! He was an amazing father as well! I miss him so much! You don't fully realize the greatness of certain characteristics in people until you get out into the world and encounter or see opposite characteristics that ar either intentionally or unintentionally displayed in others. I am so grateful for my dad's kindess and the love that he showed his family and those around him. As a child, and even before his passing, I didn't fully realize that kindness. I always knew he was kind, but now that I am older and have been "out into the world" more, I really understand how kind he was, and I really believe that kindness is rare in today's world.
I know I say it all the time, but I wish I could have witnessed the interaction between my dad and my boys. He would have just been over the moon for them, and they for him as well! I imagine Noah would have followed him around wanting to help him in whatever he was doing that day, and my dad would have loved it and welcomed it! Sometimes I can almost hear my dad's laugh when Noah is at my parent's home and doing something cute. He would have showered them with love and attention, and probably teasing HaHa, just like his other grandkids! He was not the type of dad or grandpa that would ever hesitate to play or give of his time and attention! He always had a welcoming, warm hug waiting for his loved ones (not only family but close friends as well). I miss his hugs, jokes, and simple words of wisdom. He was one of a kind!
I am lucky to have, and have had, some amazing men in my life! :)
