No recipe yet. (Not even sure if anyone is using them or cares anyway HaHa). Not sure what I will try this week. Post one if you have something fabulous I should try! ;)
I just wanted to tell you about Bountifulbaskets.org. It is a food co-op that a bunch of cities participate in. You sign up and pay $15 before your city's deadline (or the city you will be picking your order up in). Then on Saturday you have a designated time to pick your order up. You take your laundry basket to pick up your order and get a basket full of fresh produce (half fruits, half veggies) that may differ from week to week. I have heard you get about $50 worth of produce. Now that is an amazing deal! :)
They also have other packages you can pay extra for, like say the "Italian" one that comes with specialty breads, fresh herbs, unique veggies..and probably a few other things. They also have a granola that I hear is really great as well. It's a great way to save some money eating healthy and also support local growers.
A lot of women in my ward are doing this. I really want to try it. I think it will be a great way to eat healthy, save some money, expand upon the veggies and fruits we normally eat (ie: try new things), and to make new meals that I have never tried before b/c of the different ingredients.
I just realized I might have already posted about this. If I have I'm sorry. :) I'm just really excited about it! Hopefully we will be able to try it this week!
