Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, Biblical
Pronounced: NO-ə (English) [key]
Derived from the Hebrew name נוֹחַ (Noach) meaning "rest, comfort".>
The meaning "comfort" amazed me. After almost 2 long years of trying, Noah was conceived only a few days after my father had passed away. He truly has been "comfort" to my entire family. Even during my pregnancy he was the light spot during such a devastating time, and he continues to be that for all of us. When I fell in love with his name I did not know the meaning. I feel like now I know why he was supposed to have that name, why I never felt like any other name was the right one. It fits him perfectly!

That is so cool! I am glad it worked out that way for you! I wish I could say that picking Addie's name was inspiration, but it wasn't my mom gave me the name, it was a family name and it just grew on me!
