I worry that I let Noah watch too much t.v. "They" (the experts I suppose) say it's just a mindless activity, and children don't learn anything from it. Infact, they say it can cause learning problems down the road. I have noticed though, that Noah has picked up a lot of things when watching t.v. Yes, he has actually "learned" something! He loves to watch Dinosaur Train when he gets the chance. I didn't really think he was learning anything from it, thought it might be a little bit above his learning/retaining ability, but there was one episode where they were talking about stegosaurus and the plates on their backs (what they think the purpose of the plates were..etc.). Later that night we were in his room playing, and he picks up his stegosaurus and says "Plates on back!" I did not see what he had at first, so I was a little confused at what he was talking about. After I saw what he was playing with however, it all made complete sense to me. I almost didn't believe it HaHa. So maybe I am justifying an evil here, but I really feel like he is truly learning when he watches those shows that are trying to teach.

I will have to agree with you on that, I don't think its bad to let toodlers watch TV, obviously don't let the TV be the baby sitter, but whats wrong with watching Disney movies, Seaseme Street, etc.
Hey, Addie watches TV sometimes and she is only 7 weeks!
