(Forgive the walls, my mom has been very patiently waiting for her basement to get put back together, but it has not been possible yet. ..And I forgot a table cloth, oops!)
We opened presents first, and Everett got a lot of super great, fun things! We recruited brother and some of the cousins to help with the opening of gifts. Of course, like most little ones, he was mostly intrigued by the boxes, HaHa!
After gifts, we sang to Everett and daddy helped him blow out his candle. (I'll see if I can upload the video). Then, Everett got to dig into his very own cake! It took him a few minutes as he was unsure what to do, but he quickly got into it! The other little ones wanted a little taste, too, so it turned into a fun community cake! :)
After Everett was done enjoying his cake, the guests were served cake and ice cream while Everett was whisked away to have a bath. He got all nice and clean and into his new monster jammies, snuggled up with his new monster blanket Aunt Liz made, and he nursed until he fell asleep..worn out from all the fun!
It was a fun birthday party for him and us! ..I still can't believe he is one!
