Today has just not been a good day, starting at 2:30 this morning.
Noah was doing fantastic over the weekend with potty training. No accidents, and that includes out in public, in church, and at both Grandma's houses. He even woke up in the middle of the night one night to go on the potty! Today, however, almost feels like day one all over again. I don't understand what happened. I guess it's just a process, and he is going to have bad days during it all. I can only hope for more good days than bad! The number one problem is still getting him to poop on the potty, but he has had a lot of accidents involving both today (and I have a constant reminder as I kneeled down on the carpet and came up with a wet spot near the bottom of my only clean pair of jeans, ugh!). I have something I'm going to try for the whole "number two" issue once I get paid Wednesday, so we'll see if it will help. As for the other, guess I just need to keep staying focused and keep working on it. I think because he was doing so well, I have been less out of the picture today and left it more in his hands, I guess I need to continue to be really involved for the next little bit. Although, I read something today (just other mom's opinions on some forum) that if you have to keep reminding your child to go, he/she might not be ready. Sometimes internet forums/other people's opinions can be a real downer. I really feel like Noah is ready though; except for today, the last few days he's gone on his own quite a bit, without reminding from me. I think that during the first little bit you have to continue to remind them/encourage them to go as it's still very new and they can get distracted easily.
Other aspects of life have me really discouraged today as well. Just one of those days that just feel blah! Doing the best I can to change that! ;) Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day! :)

I think most importantly, for both of you, that you should stay positive. :) Potty training is a big change in his little world and he is bound to have some bad days while he is learning. All you can do is continue to encourage him and he will come around in his own time. I can only imagine how difficult it is for them to learn so much in such a little time.
I had June teach Gage how to pee standing up this weekend and we couldn't keep him out of the bathroom! He was drinking juice just so he could pee again, lol. Just find whatever works for him, that thing that gets him the most excited, and make sure he knows how proud you are of him.
You'll get there! It's only been a week and both of you are doing great :) <3 <3
Thanks Kerry! :) It's true, I do need to stay positive! I am trying very hard to do that, especially in front of him! ;)
That is so cute about Gage! I'm sure that is a fun aspect for boys HaHa! I sometimes wish I could do it that way for convenience sake! ;)
