Halloween Cookies!

The other night Noah helped me make cookie dough so that we could roll it out and make cookies after it had some refridgeration time. He had a lot of fun dumping the dry ingredients into the bowl, as well as helping me crack the eggs. We only had one mishap, one of the eggs we cracked somehow missed the bowl and went all over the counter HaHa. It was funny! He doesn't like the sound of the mixer, so I couldn't get him to watch how cool it is to all mix together, or to help do that part, but he was more than willing to help with everything else!

Tonight we rolled out the dough and baked the cookies, as well as frosted a few! Noah helped roll out the dough a couple of times, and wanted to help dust the flour around so he did a little, but mostly his job was to use the cookie cutters to cut the Halloween-shaped cookies out. I was surprised that he didn't get a bit more into the frosting of the cookies, because of the yummy frosting of course, but he didn't seem that into it.. I think it's because he was going back and forth between watching a baseball game with daddy and making cookies with mommy. It was fun making, baking, and frosting cookies together! We made a big mess but it was worth it! :) Though they did not turn out to be any sort of cullinary or visual masterpiece, the end result (eating some) wasn't so bad! ;) Here are the pictures of rolling out the dough, cutting the cookies out, and frosting some:
(P.S. This is the only time I have let him sit on the table and stay there, don't judge! ;) It was easier for him to help that way.)

oh please.... is it really all that bad to let a kid crawl on the table every now and then? No need to apologize! :)
