This morning I heard the sweetest sound coming from Noah’s bedroom. “Momma, where are you?” came ringing through the house in his little, sweet, happy voice. That was his way of letting me know he was ready to get up for the day. He has used this to let me know he is awake a few times, and the cuteness of it never goes away.
Later on today while Noah and I were playing catch/ball, he would want me to “bonk-a-head,” and then he would want to throw it on top of my head to “bonk-a-head” at mommy. That was all good and fun, but then randomly he turned around, his back facing me, and says “a bummy.” I used my toddler language interpreting skills and figured out he was probably trying to say “on bummy,” or at least I figured out that is where he wanted me to aim. I then threw the ball at his bum, perfect shot, and he just cracked up!! He kept wanting me to do it, and he was having a full on laugh attack when I would! Mom was having a full on laugh attack herself. Who can resist when their sweet little laughs are given so freely in abundance?! It was really cute and super funny! I don’t know where he got the idea. I’m sure in some other catch session I tossed it at his bum or maybe daddy did. Either way it was good times!
After our running around, playing catch/ball session was over it was time for stories to be read. (He needed a quiet activity to wind down because it was time for his nap.) He sat next to me as usual on my bed, listening contently and wanting me to read each story over and over again, only this time as he sat by me he put his little hand on my arm, as I was sitting “Indian style” resting my arm on my leg holding the book open. This seemingly small gesture made my heart melt into a soft, squishy lump of goo. It was so sweet. He is such a loving little guy! It’s the little moments like that when you just can’t help but be so grateful and purely happy. Let’s be honest, it’s also those little moments that make the tough, trying moments bearable.
I love my little man sooo much! ...Even in the tough, trying moments. ;)

That is so cute! You make me want to notice the little things a little bit better and not get so caught up in the frustrating and hectic times.
Way cute! I can't wait to have little moments like that! And when it does get tough, I will call you and have you remind me of them! :)
What a sweet little angel! I'm so glad you get those moments with him... cherish them!
Noah, Noah, Noah, What a character! Wish I would have witnessed the ball and "bummy". You did an awesome job describing it cause I cracked up reading it!
