..Jot It Down, Make A Note..

I just want to jot some things down, or record some of the little things I love that the boys are doing lately (or have been doing for awhile).

Noah loves to create things. Just the other day he was digging in my cooking utensils and creating a "device" that could do all sorts of amazing things. He put the utensils and measuring cups together in a way I did not know they could fit together. He thought up a homemade kite when it was really windy the other day, taking a long string of twine and tying it to a grocery bag, and yes, it flew! It was so fun to watch him running around with it with a huge smile on his face. When he builds with blocks or Legos his imagination takes off, and I love hearing about his creations. It is so fun to watch his mind at work, and even more fun to watch him smiling and feeling proud of what his mind thinks up!

As I've mentioned before Everett is quite the little talker when he's around people he's comfortable with. I love listening to him talk, he emphasizes parts of words in cute ways, and his little voice just melts my heart. He says the "L" sound for "Y," so words like: yes, you, youes etc., are "les" and "lou." I love when he says, "Oh, les" as an answer to something, or he will say "How bout (whatever)," "How bout this one.." or something like that. He has quite the vocabulary also, maybe he gets it from his brother! (Noah says all kinds of words I didn't even know he knew!) Another thing Everett says that I love, "Aww nuts!" ..HaHa, I'm not sure where he got it from (maybe Noah again?!), but it's so darn cute, and is a lot nicer than what he would probably learn from me when I'm frustrated by something. ;) I need to record him talking away because it is so cute! I love that we've been having conversations for quite some time now.

Noah is all registered for kindergarten (and I wish I could phonetically spell it the way he says "kindergarten," it's super cute. Not sure how to describe it, but he says it a bit different). He is so excited! I am so excited for him!

Everett started climbing out of his crib about a week or two after we brought Tate home. (Something I feared would happen!) He still needs naps, he naps for about 3 hours..so it seems his little mind and body still need that rest time if it's always for so long, but once they climb out, that's usually the end of nap time. With having a newborn I also need him to nap, so we took the rail off his crib and made it into a toddler bed, and we put a gate at the door so he stays in his room during naptime. Some days he does really well and will go lay down and fall asleep easily, and other times not so much, but it's working out for the most part. I just can't believe he is growing up so fast and already needs a big boy bed! ...Although some days I feel like he is a 3 year old, and I forget he's only just 2!

When he wants to be Noah is such a sweet big brother to Everett and now Tate also. It makes my heart happy to see him being so concerned and aware of his little brother that just wants to do everything he does! I hope that Everett will be the same way with Tate when he is toddling around behind him.

My 3 little misters are my world! I am so lucky to be their mom, and I am trying to be a better one, the type of mom they deserve! Even though it's incredibly tough some days, I love this journey of motherhood! I wouldn't trade it for a million dollar career because I know that money cannot buy the type of happiness they provide me.
