"Soul Sisters"

Tonight for our Relief Society activity (whatever they call it now.."additional meeting" or something, HaHa), we did a get-to-know-you type activity since we have had a TON of new families move in. The theme was "The Worth of Soles" and we each were supposed to bring a shoe that represented us. We ate yummy salads and then they went through each shoe and we guessed who's it was, and then that person told why they picked it. At the end this photo was snapped..
...and I just wanted to share the faces of some of the most beautiful (inside and out), amazing, inspirational, and loving women I have ever met! I feel so lucky to live in this neighborhood and ward. There are so many amazing women, with amazing stories that live within walking distance, and I have learned so much about life, myself, and about true love and charity because of living here. I feel so blessed. -----It was fun to learn new things about people I have known or know of, or to learn about those that have just recently moved in. And for any of you wondering, I chose a black ballet flat. Honestly, I kind of just grabbed it because I was in a hurry, which I admitted that, HaHa, but I also said I felt it was simple and didn't really stand out, and that is like me.. I feel like I am simple and I am more on the quieter side and I don't really stand out. Everyone said such awesome and even inspirational things that I wish I would have put more thought into it, so now I am thinking of what I would have said had I put more thought into it, and once I figure that out I will let you know, too. ;) Getting up infront of everyone was unexpected, so I felt pretty lame, but for the first time (maybe ever, HaHa) I didn't turn red!! That is huge for me, even among my family and closest friends I turn red super easily! ...Silly to be excited about something so small and dumb, and it's just a side note, but I was glad it wasn't completely obvious that it was unexpected and that I felt awkward. -----It was a fun activity! I'm glad I was able to go!
