So Mr. Assistant Scoutmaster for 7ish(?) years was called to something new. He is now the 1st counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. He has had mixed feelings about it. He is excited to serve somewhere new, but he will miss those he served with, and he will especially miss the boys (and I know they are going to miss him! We've already had multiple people tell us their boys were sad that "Benson" was no longer in scouts).
We're pretty sure being away from scouts will not be permanent, and that he will be called to Scouting again in the future...when we won't know of course, but once you're a scouter, you're a scouter for life, HaHa. Maybe when Noah is old enough he'll get put back in. ;)
I think this new calling will bring many new and great learning experiences for Stephen. I am excited for him, and I know he'll do a great job!
