Well, here is the last thankful post, #30. The problem is I have so many things I want to use as this post.. I am lucky to have so much to be thankful for! I really could go on for months posting one thing a day that I am grateful for...I just don't think I could keep up! ;)
In contemplating what to post, I decided that I would post something specific to this year, and specific to the last few (or more than a few really) months in my life. Something that has truly meant a great deal to me, and has made a big impact on my everyday life outside of family and my boys.
I am thankful for my friend Jen. (I don't have a pic to post of her and I, but believe me she is a gorgeous lady!)
Jen lives across the street. She moved in about a year and a half ago. Her hubby works with Stephen in Scouts, and she has a daughter Noah's age. (Well she has 3 girls and one boy, but one is Noah's age..his "girlfriend" Paisley HeHe ..but I love all her kiddos, they are all amazing little ones and adorable also!)
Though she has lived here for awhile, our friendship didn't really happen until this summer, mostly due to my being quiet and reserved I'm sure. Not only is she gorgeous, she is super sweet, smart, fun, an amazing mom and wife, and just a really great person, she truly inspires me to be a better person, and she is an amazing example of all the things I want to be. I have not really had a close friend in my ward/neighborhood since moving here 6 years ago until now. Our neighborhood is great, but I wouldn't feel as strongly in saying that if it wasn't for Jen and her family. My experience living here got 100 times better when our friendship started to blossom. It is so nice to have a friend right across the street that is at the same stage in life, has the same lifestyle, similar interests, same beliefs, and same goals.
Everyone should have a Jen in their lives! :)
I am thankful for all my friends, near and far, different stages in life and different lifestyles, goals, and beliefs..I love them all! I am singling her out because it has truly made such a huge impact on me this year, and it has meant a lot to finally have a real (outside of church/church callings) friend in my neighborhood.
This year could have been a lot harder than it has been had I not had a friend who was right there.
Many thanks to her! Love her to pieces!
