23rd Thanks

I am thankful for family time. I am also super excited to see my siblings and their families tomorrow because I rarely get to see them (maybe every few months, so only a handful of times a year). We are lucky to see Stephen's family often, usually every Sunday.

I am also thankful for family time with just our little family. Unfortunately this seems to be few and far between because of jobs, callings, and other things. I think that starting this holiday season this is something I really want to work on. We need to start developing our own holiday traditions as a little family, and having time set aside during the holidays to just be together ourselves. I really feel that is important. I read an article somewhere where a General Authority of the church (I think he was a general authority anyway..someone that holds a higher position in the church), that said how important it is for young couples to make sure they set aside time to spend just as their own little family and start their own traditions, I really liked the article and wish I could find it again, but I can't find it at the moment. (It may have been in my book about Traditions, I'll have to look).
-As a side note, this is something that I not only want to work on just during the holidays, but in "everyday" life as well. ;)

Love my family (both sides)!! I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who love and support me, and for their examples and motivation for me to be a better me.
