Halloween Hauntings!

Happy Halloween!!! Our Halloween has been spooktacular!

Here's what we've been doing to celebrate Halloween:

Went to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. (Camera died, so we didn't get many pictures)

Had a playdate cutting out and frosting Halloween cookies with Kamden and Julane, which was tons of fun! (Pictures are only on my phone, so I'll have to get them on here later).

Noah had his school Halloween party and had a blast! I put his costume together the day/night before, I was so glad it worked out and came together! I sewed him a vest with some black fabric I had lying around, used a peice of red fabric to cut off a sash, white undershirt and white church shirt rolled up, black pants, and some accessories out of the dress up box, plus daddy's red bandanna, made for an easy and free Halloween costume! It was so fun seeing his classmates dressed up, too! They were all so cute! (I wish I would have taken pictures of his class!)
Before heading to school:

Riding the "Stringtown Nightmare Express" (a Halloween train ride) with the Bensons, well most of them, Grandpa didn't come.

And of course, Halloween night trick-or-treating and handing out candy!
Posing Pirate Noah:

*Hilarious side note about our Little Pirate: He was playing pirates the other night, mom and dad's bed was the ship, he is talking in pirate speak giving me directions on what to do and says, "Hoist the oinker!" Stephen and I died, infact I still die of laughter thinking about it! It's just too cute to correct to "anchor"! ;)

Noah trick-or-treating and proudly displaying his goodies:

*Side note about trick-or-treating: Stephen and I both took a turn taking him because we both wanted to take him, but Everett was at home sleeping and someone needed to be home to pass out candy. When Stephen took him he said after a few houses he realized that Noah had his bucket in one hand and hat in the other, he would do the knock on the door, say trick-or-treat, then stand there for a second, say "Thank You" and walk away...it was after a couple houses Stephen realized that he wasn't even getting any candy because his hands were full and the people passing out candy were holding it up for him to pick out his own, so he would say trick-or-treat and then was just standing there, then saying "Thank You" and walking away HaHa. ..Silly boy! Glad he was still being polite! ;)

Our Cuddly Little Lion (and friends):

Poor Everett woke up today with a horrible cold- eyes extremely gooped up, nose stuffy/runny and crusted, and just didn't feel well at all...it was a rough day for him, so sad! We put his costume on just for the pictures because he stayed in while Noah went trick-or-treating. He was not a fan of the head piece/hat. We are lucky we got a couple pictures of him smiling! ;)

Trying on the Vampire teeth:
Our vampire offspring and my own personal Edward! ;)

Passing out candy:
(Notice the last one where he is making a gesture toward the candy bowl)

*Another funny sidenote about our little sidekick while helping pass out candy: He's standing at the door yelling out to trick-or-treaters, and boy did we hear some funny stuff! He was really chatty when they would come up to trick-or-treat as well. Some of my favorites from the night: using his "strong muscles and bones" to hold up and carrying the candy bowl -yelling out "Here witchy, witchy!" to try and get some girls to come trick-or-treat at our house. -A boy dressed as a skeleton comes up and Noah says, "Well, Hello, Mr. Skeleton Bones!" -A boy dressed as a pirate in a big group of boys and Noah didn't think he got any candy, "Come back, Pirate, you didn't get some candy!" I hear the mom say that he did, but Noah keeps yelling at him to come back, then he comes in and shuts the door and says so sincerely and so cute, "I was trying to give the Pirate more candy!" -I had just filled the candy dish again and he yells out to people, "Come get some candy! My mom just filled the bowl!" (then points/gestures toward the bowl) or he would say that we have candy and "it's by the couch!" and to come get some. He said so many funny things that I wish I could remember them all, but I have already forgotten some of them. He was being so sweet and thanking people for taking candy, as well as telling everyone "Happy Halloween!"..even if they were just walking by he was yelling it at them. He is so funny, I love it! :)

..Well Halloween is officially "done" (7 minutes ago!), and so is my laundry so I am headed to bed!
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did celebrating Halloween!
