Everett is so close to rolling over! Today I had him on the floor and he was just playing (with his feet of course HaHa). He would roll on his side, then back to his back, and each time it would move him a little more to the left, eventually making an entire circle. I guess that's one way to get "around" HaHa! ;)
I can't remember if I mentioned this in his 4-month post, but his hernia is healing up really well, and you can't even tell he has one anymore. His eye with the plugged tear duct is also looking a lot better. Two good things! It's looking like they will both clear up on their own, so no surgeries I hope!
He definitely knows what food is now, and he will watch you eat and suck in his bottom lip and then make chewing motions. We cheated (as in not waiting til 6 months) and have already given him tiny tastes of a couple of things, not enough to even "chew" or swallow, just literally tiny tastes. Those things include: chocolate and vanilla ice cream, blueberry italian ice, cheerios, and plain mashed potatoes. I'm not even sure on a couple of those if he got enough to even really "taste" it, because I was trying to be really cautious with it. It will be exciting and interesting to see how he likes solids once he can have them in a few months!
