Luke's Farewell - A Weekend Away

Over the weekend we headed down to Monroe to spend the weekend at my sister's house. My nephew, Luke, is heading out on an LDS mission to London, England! His farewell was Sunday, and he did an AMAZING job speaking in church! Stephen made the comment that he can tell he is definitely ready to be a missionary! I thought his talk was so wise and so well delivered! We all really enjoyed it! ..And Noah enjoyed sitting with cousin Jakey and Aunt Karyn during church! ;)





The luncheon after the farewell was yummy! It was good to visit with everyone that came as well!


It was a nice weekend away! We all had a great time! To say Noah had a blast is an understatement! I'm pretty sure Aunt Karyn's and Uncle Allen's house is his favorite place to go! My sister teaches pre-school and Noah LOVES to go play in her pre-school room, or as he was calling it "the magic room". There are so many fun things for Noah to do there! He also has someone to play with at all times, as my sister, brother-in-law, nephews, and neice all take their turns playing with him, and usually grandma is there when we are, and she takes her turn playing with him as well. They live on their own little farm, and Noah loves that, too!

As part of playing with Noah, my nephew and neice took him to play on a playground, to get ice cream, and to go "fishing" in a little stream. Uncle Allen was going to take him real fishing, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate.















One of the nights we BBQed for dinner (Yum!), and after dinner we made S'mores (using the grill) with HUGE marshmellows. Good times and yummy dessert! The marshmellows were so big that you could barely eat one s'more without feeling a sugar overload!
