We had our ultrasound Saturday, October 10th. As most of you already know, verdict of baby's gender is a BOY! We are all super excited! :) I will try to get the pictures scanned in and uploaded to this entry sometime in the near future.
Things to note about the ultrasound:
Baby is measuring right on, infact if it "moved" my due date it would only be moved up one day. He is about 11 oz. right now. Everything looked good and healthy! Yay!! :)
As far as with mama goes, my placenta is a little low lying, so they will probably check back up on that a little more toward the end of the pregnancy, but chances are extremely high that as my uterus grows my placenta will move up. (The reason why this can be a concern, is for during the delivery...if the placenta is covering the cervix -which it is not right now anyway- then you cannot deliver naturally because it's in the way, and I'm not positive of all the concerns of it just being low lying but not covering actually HaHa). So depending on what my doctor says, I might have another ultrasound later on to check and see if it's moved.
And last but not least, things to note of Noah going to the ultrasound with us:
-He saw the cotton balls in the jar on the counter in the exam room, and he asks if he can have some marshmellows HaHa. (He does this at every doctor's visit, it always makes me laugh).
-When Stephen showed him the t.v. to look on, he tells us he wants to watch Polar Express, and after awhile of watching the ultrasound he tells us he doesn't want to watch this movie anymore HaHa.
-After the doctor printed out the pictures and was letting us all look at them, Noah for some reason thought there was a dog in the pictures HaHa. He is stil talking about a dog in the pictures, silly boy! If you try to tell him it's a baby, he will argue that it's not. He must see something in them that looks like the shape of a dog? I don't know HaHa.
On the way out though, he proudly carried the print out of pictures with his little strut that he does sometimes, like a proud big brother!
-We tried to get him to say he was having a baby brother so that he could tell my mom as that's where we were headed for a bit, but when we asked him what mommy was having, he just said "A baby!" HaHa. He still doesn't understand he is having a brother (or that mommy is having a baby for that matter), and I know that until the baby is here, it is going to be hard for him to really understand any of it. Maybe when his little boy cousin Logan is born in a few weeks it might help have things sink in a little.
The only disappointment was, I wanted to make these cute little "mummy" treat cups and put blue or pink candy in them to tell our parents the gender after the ultrasound, but I ran out of time to get everything and to make them. It would have been fun to do something cute and Halloweenish though. Bummer!
So any boy name suggestions? Stephen and I only have a few names we like, and it's pretty one-sided as far as those names go (meaning only he or I like the name) HaHa, so the search begins on a name we can both love/like enough to use and agree on! ;)

Oh my heck I can't stop laughing about the cotton balls, I wish they were marshmallows too. I wish some other things in the Dr.'s office where treats also, instead of what they really are ha ha. I love that you documented this story, it will be fun to look back on and remember the funny things Noah said. I would much rather watch an ultrasound than the Polar Express though, that's where Noah and I go our seperate ways. I hope he enjoyed his play dough lion I made him. It was my "present" to him.
Kyler....I love that name. I also love Jack, and MaKray :)
