19 Weeks!

How baby's growing at 19 weeks:
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

A peek into my belly/what baby looks like this week:

We will get a REAL peek into my belly on Saturday!! Ultrasound is scheduled at 9:50 a.m.! What a fun Halloween suprise! We are all really excited to see baby! I am also really excited to see how Noah reacts to seeing it! When my neice saw my sister-in-law's, she asked her mommy why she ate a foot HaHa. So I am curious if Noah will really understand that is a picture of inside my belly.

Other news with baby, movements are a lot stronger now. Definitely distinguishable as a baby movement, as they are not just little flutters or bubbles anymore. Yesterday, baby was really active! I even felt one of the movements from the outside! Most of the movement is around where the wasitline of my pants are or even a little below, so still really low.
Last week as I was finishing using the bathroom at the funeral, at the top of my uterus and just at the bottom of my belly button, my belly was not round, there was a little bump (about the lenght of my stretched out belly button) poking out from it (my belly looked like the outline of a squiggly line, kind of like this: ~) . I pushed on it (lightly) and it went away. Baby was saying Hello pushing something up!

Just a little funny/cute note: If you ask Noah where the baby is, he tells you it's in his tummy HaHa! At least he gets it's in the tummy! ;) Maybe once my tummy is a lot bigger, and after he sees the ultrasound, he will understand baby is in mommy's tummy. And even if not, that's ok, it's cute the way he understands things/how he's learning and what he says!

Gage got a little scared at my first ultrasound so before our second one I showed him the video and pictures of his u/s so he understood a little better what we were going to see.

I can't believe you are already 19 weeks! So excited to hear what you are having on Saturday and to hear all about your new little belly bundle. What an exciting time for all of you guys!!

You know, I think Noah says "In my tummy" to anything you ask him! At least when Scott and I ask him where something is, he says "It's in my tummy!" You have the cutest little boy :)
