Had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Typical appointment and all is still well. Set up my ultrasound, it is on October 30th at 9:50 in the morning. So nice that they do ultrasounds on Saturdays, at least for the month of October that works best for my schedule. So in the meantime I need to come up with a cute Halloweenish way to tell our close family we will see that day what baby will be, just because I think that would be fun! :) Maybe they can unwrap a "mummy" to find a certain color of candy or something HaHa. Creative/crafty friends leave your ideas! ;)
And onto what's going on inside this week from babycenter.com:
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
And just for fun, I don't know if you can remember awhile ago I did a "make me babies" where you upload you and your partner's photos and they generate what your children will (might HaHa) look like. Well, I did that again and it only allowed me to do it once for free, so I did a girl since we have our cute boy Noah! Here is the picture of what it showed our little girl (if we have one) will (might/could) look like: (I know the pic looks kind of weird b/c it's cartoonish, but if I'm remembering right this girl is cuter than the last time I did it HaHa)
Posting this picture is not an indication of what we are hoping for by the way. I am just hoping for a healthy, happy baby! I will be so excited if it is a girl or a boy, not really leaning one way or the other (I mean of course I have my moments, but overall and day after day there is not hoping for one more than the other) just happy to be able to add to our family with whatever gender baby #2 is!! :)
