One of the fun things about him talking is we get to hear everything he is learning. Awhile back out of nowhere he counted to 10, by himself with no encouragment to do so or mention of it at all. The only numbers he mixed up were 8 and 9. This is pretty amazing given the fact we have not even worked on counting with him, he just picked it up from his Dinosaur book I suppose. I actually am not positive where he learned it from.
Another fun thing is the pronunciation and the funny things he says! ..Can I just tell you he is already a jokester!
Some of the funny pronunciations: His version of Moab is "Moac," and he definitely knows about "Tato salad" that is in Moab. His Jeeps need "yockers" (lockers) all the time now, and they are all "rockcrawlers". He knows daddy is turning his "Toya" (Toyota) into a "rockcrawler" as well.
Not so funny ALL the time, but he is unfortunately in the habit of saying "Oh my damnit!" and "Oh my shit!" Oops! The funny part is how he put the "oh my" infront of it.
He is always telling us to "Check it out!" when he has something to show us.
If you ask him what his name is, it's not just Noah, it's "Noah Benson". If you call him cute, baby, stinker, whatever, he will say "I'm not *insert whatever you called him here*, I'm Noah Benson!" or he will say "No! Noah Benson".
The very first joke he came up with: The other day he was being silly and making me laugh (btw, he will do anything to make someone laugh, just like his dad!). He kept telling me he "tooted" and we would giggle about it after he would say "'scuse me". He then tells me again "I tooted," and in perfect comedic timing he says, "toot, toot". We laughed for quite awhile about that one. His first laffy taffy type joke! ;) If you know me, you know that silly/dumb jokes totally crack me up, I am still laughing about that one today! HaHa!
He is so funny and so smart! Even though with talking comes talking back, whining, and telling us to "Go away!", I love listening to him talk all day long, he definitely keeps us laughing! I love that he can have full on conversations with us. I love hearing all the new words and concepts he is learning! It is pretty amazing what the toddler mind can comprehend! He seems to be growing up way too fast!
