Better late than never?

Here it is almost February and I haven't even made a Christmas post. I have been slacking, or busy, take your pick. ;)

Christmas was great! I still haven't uploaded the pics, so more waiting on those..yes, I am really that behind. Anyway, we spent Christmas Eve at the Benson's as we do every year. It is such a fun tradition! We stuff our faces from a veggie tray, and a meat and cheese tray, along with a cheese ball (a must have!) and homemade rolls..YUMMY! Then we read the Christmas story from the Bible, exchange our family gifts and read a story that Grandma Kaydean/Mom picks out and gives to us every year. This year was especially fun with Noah and Maggie being a little older and able to participate in the night's fun!

Christmas day we had Stephen's parents and his sister Emily down for breakfast. We then made our way up to their home to do our Christmas day thing there. We always get very spoiled by them! One of the best gifts there would probably have to be getting to talk to Scott (Stephen's little bro who is on his mission.) It was great to chat with him! I can't believe he will be home this year! Where does the time go? ..Anyway, after that we went to my mom's house to visit with my side of the family and do gift exchanging there as well. I'm tellin' you we really get spoiled! We had dinner there and spent time with everyone until it was time to head home and to bed!

It was such a fun Christmas! Stephen and I had fun playing Santa for really the first time. Noah got spoiled all the way around. He wasn't too into opening the presents, but he had fun playing with all his new things! Stephen and I got spoiled also. I feel like the best gift of all is my little family! I am lucky to enjoy that all year long. :)

Now that's out of the way, just a quick little update.
We are still busy with life. Stephen is still busy with work..which we are so grateful for. I am still working on school. Of course we are still busy as parents too!

Noah is doing great! He is cruising all over the place with his walker, and is really close to walking. Today he walked 5 or 6 steps at a time without the aid of anything, quite a few times. It's the most he has walked un-aided in a day. He is so close to just taking off! I hope we are ready! We might need a new pair of running shoes! He is already such a busy little body! He is such a happy kid and is always laughing! He loves to make you laugh and be silly. Lately he has really been into looking at/"reading" his books. Whenever he sneaks off I can always find him sitting in his room looking at a book. He still loves chicken noodle soup, and I have noticed he gobbles up the "Pasta Sides" spinach and fettucini pasta in a parmesan sauce. He shovels it in like it's going to jump off his tray if he doesn't eat it fast enough. He also really loves lunchables.."homemade" or the real thing. Oh and I can't forget the Jell-O! He loves Jello with fruit in it! He is a pretty great eater!

Other things of note, we painted our bedroom this past weekend! We both really welcomed the change and are enjoying our new room! :)
