Stephen built this amazingly beautiful dresser:
(Might be hard to see the detail, and how pretty it is in the picture..but if you know Stephen you know it's a gorgeous piece of furniture!)
Stephen wanted to build Noah's crib, but hasn't had the time, and let's face it at almost 8 months old he really needs a crib. We had ordered one from Target, but they kept sending me emails saying my order was delayed. The estimated arrival date was September 26th!! ..Uh, thanks but we can't wait that long! So we canceled our order and went looking again at (ridiculously expensive!) Babies'R'Us. Nothing there was in our price range, so we headed over to Burlington Coat Factory and lucked out! We found a crib for a great price, that almost matches identically with the stain on the dresser.
Here is the crib all set up with the crib set:
The "theme" of his room is "Things that go!" (ie: cars, trucks, planes, trains..you get the picture.) What little boy doesn't like cars and trucks, right?! Everyone said we should do a "Noah's Ark" theme. While that is definitely cute, that is going a bit too far (because of his name) in my opinion. We already have to hear the Bill Cosby joke "Noah, how long can you tread water?" So I didn't need to add anything else he/we could be made fun of for. ;) ..Plus I couldn't beat the price of the crib set!
..And just for fun here is a picture of Noah in his crib!
I can't wait to get the decor hung on the walls and get the window treatment up! I think that will make a huge difference in making the room actually feel like a bedroom HaHa.
